Personal Thanks!
Dear Friends,
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your help with the Funkstown Olde Tyme Christmas event. The temperature outside was cold and there was a light breeze blowing, but it was evident that there was no way to slow down the steady stream of people that were flowing through the social hall. At best guess we had between 3000 and 3200 people come through our doors. We had over 125 people that took the wagon ride and the face painters did over 60 children. Everyone got their fill of good food, drinks, ice cream and music as well as sharing the Christmas spirit with friends, family and town folk. It was truly a sight to see the houses all decorated with their luminaries in place, the living nativity and the band playing through out town.
Your donations were a very special part of what made the evening grand. The names of all our sponsors were displayed in the social hall for all of the guests to see just who shares the Christmas spirit.Funkstown Olde Tyme Christmas also has a website that you can visit at www.funkstown.com. It has events, contest winners, Town history, Locater map, and even the sponsors of this event. When you go there you will see more than just Olde Tyme Christmas. In the future we hope to see links to local business, organizations and a listing of upcoming events. Again, let us thank you for your support in this adventure. This was truly best Christmas that Funkstown has ever seen.
