The kids events and vendors along as the food were great. We also had the finest fire and EMS protection in Washington County watching over the safety of the event.
The foraging started early through out town with a stop to see Miss Kitty, then it was off to a fierce street battle. With the temperatures pushing 100 degrees the sun was as hot as the fighting
The battle on Saturday looked so real it was hard to remember that it was just a re-enactment. The field marching, cannons, guns and the fallen dead were so realistic it was scary.
Saturday night was very exciting. The Hoffman family and Miss Kitty got special community service awards for all that they do for the re-enactors. The fireworks made the night so electric that people started dancing.
