There was many events for all of the children and adults alike. We also had the finest EMS, Fire and Fire Police available for the protection of the approximately 3000 people in attendance.
The men foraged through out the town and where very happy with how the town folks helped out, then when the troops met in town, a fire fight broke out with only a few casualties.
The 1st field battle was held on the hill to the left of the ball field with the Yanks pushing the Rebels back into the woods at the bottom of the hill with lots of causalities.
The Sunday Battle was a lot less fearsome. The Yankees where coming in off beaver creak road and ran in Rebels that where sitting on the high ground and driven back. The battle took place in the same place that it did 148years ago.
