Thank you to all of the sponsors of 2016

Dear Friends,

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your help with the Funkstown Olde Tyme Christmas event. The temperature outside was very brisk with a light wind as you could yell by the way the steady stream of people that were boundled up and flowing through the social hall and all of the stores.  At best guess we had over 3000 people come through our doors. We had every wagon ride full and the face painters did over 75 people. The line for Santa was long but moving quicker than I have ever seen with plenty of letters in the box for last second requests. Everyone got their fill of good food, drinks, and music as well as sharing the Christmas spirit with friends, family and town folk. It was truly a sight to see the houses all decorated with their luminaries in place with pony rides at the park. The added treat of roasted marshmallows, hot chocolate, popcorn and hotdogs from the Scouts was just the special touch that Santa ordered. Again this year we still had people in the street until after 9:30.

Your donations were a very special part of what made the evening grand. The names of all our sponsors were displayed in the social hall for all of the guests to see just who shares the Christmas spirit.Funkstown Olde Tyme Christmas also has a website that you can visit at It has events, contest winners, Town history, Locater map, and even the sponsors of this event. When you go there you will see more than just Olde Tyme Christmas,  you will see links to local business, organizations and a listing of upcoming events.

Again, let us thank you for your support in this adventure. This was truly best Christmas that Funkstown has ever seen. We hope you have a very prosperous new year and we hope to work with you on this next year, because without you, this would not have been a Very Special Funkstown Olde Tyme Christmas!

Yours in spirit,The Christmas committee
